How we handle your information

Last updated October 17, 2026

We're Here is a Minden, Louisiana charity. We ask for only the information we need to help you or to find the right place for you to volunteer, and we keep it private.

What we collect

When you send a request for help or a volunteer card through this website, we receive what you type in the form:

If you enter a giveaway, we receive the name and phone number or email you type in. We use it only to run the giveaway and contact winners, and delete entries afterward. See the giveaway rules.

Please don't include sensitive details you are not comfortable sharing, such as Social Security or bank account numbers. We will never ask for them through the website.

How we use it

We use your information only to contact you about your request or about volunteering with us. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers.

Who can see it

Only the We're Here team members who have a private staff login can see requests and volunteer cards. If we connect you with another local program that can help, we will tell you first and share only what that program needs.

Where it is stored and for how long

Your information is stored securely with Google's Firebase service in the United States. We keep it only as long as we need it to follow up with you, and we delete old requests when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
