Neighbors helping neighbors
We help families in our community get through tough stretches with food, help on bills, rides to appointments, and a friendly person who listens. No judgment and no long forms. Just help.
Every service we offer is free.
Hard times can happen to anyone. Nobody should have to face them alone.
— our promise
Meet our founder
Founder, We're Here
Patrick started We're Here so that neighbors in Minden going through a hard season would know someone is in their corner. He leads our community events himself, from the annual Fun with Mrs. Claus toy giveaway and Christmas dinner to bike giveaways and kids' days at the American Legion.
If you've been to one of our events, you've probably seen him with a microphone in one hand and a box of gifts in the other, making sure every family feels welcome.
What we do
Our programs are run by volunteers and paid for by local donors, churches, and businesses.
Groceries for families and seniors, including fresh produce when we have it.
One-time help to keep the lights on and keep a roof overhead during an emergency.
Volunteer drivers take neighbors to doctor visits, the pharmacy, and job interviews.
A caring volunteer who checks in, listens, and helps you find the next right step.
Events
Our events bring families together for food, gifts, and a good time. Everyone is welcome.
